05. 24. 2010Incredible Journey Ends In Game 3
It all came down to the final game in the NJCAA East Central District. Unfortunately for Gordon College, it followed the same script as Saturday and the Highlanders would be denied their first trip to the College World Series. GC gained a four-run advantage early only to see it slip away as Chattanooga State (TN) Community College clawed their way back for a 10 - 8 victory. After solid back-to-back innings for the Tigers, GC's best opportunity came in the bottom of the eighth. With two runners on base, Dustin Dalken's high fly ball was caught against the right field fence. Unable to capitalize on their final at bat, Gordon College's hope of an appearance in the College World Series disappeared right before their eyes.
