BS: Sports Management – Southwest Baptist University, Missouri. MS: Education - Southwest Baptist University, Missouri. Vicky Bright enters her first season as head women's soccer coach at Gordon College. A native of Norwich, England, Bright was apart of the first ever Norwich City U16 Centre of Excellence. She also represented her County at the U16 and senior level at the age of 14. During her career in England she was a starter for the prestigious Harford Belles GFC, where she was two time player of the year, and Racers LFC. In 2000 and 2001 she was invited to attend tryouts for the England Youth National team. At the age of 18 she followed her dream and came to America to attend and play soccer at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri where she was a four-year letter winner. She holds the SBU record for most games played in a career and was part of the 2004 Bearcats that participated in the NCAA Division II Regional Tournament. Bright was also named Mid-America Athletics Association First Team All-Conference, MIAA Honorable Mention and MIAA Commissioners Academic Honor Roll during her soccer career at SBU. Bright began her coaching career at the age of 15 when she worked Norwich City Football in the Community Program, a program that provided after school and school holiday soccer camps. After completing her playing career for the Norwich City Centre of Excellence she became an assistant coach for their U10’s team. In 2000 the Centre of Excellence expanded and developed a feeder team known as the Player Development Centre. Bright was promoted to head coach for the U11 and U15 Player Development Center. While pursuing her Masters degree, Bright served as the graduate assistant for Sports Information. During her time at Southwest Baptist she also was also a member of the leadership team for Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
