COURSE POLICIES

The following policies will be in effect throughout the duration of the course.  The instructor will deal with any other situations that may arise on a case-by-case basis.

Accommodations of Disability:  If you need to make academic adjustments for any type of disability, see the instructor during office hours or by appointment.  You must bring your verification memo from Kristina Miller.

Make-Up Work:  While missing class is a bad idea, it is occasionally unavoidable.  If a student finds that he or she must miss a class the student should contact the instructor at the earliest possible time.  All make-up work will be completed on retake days that will be scheduled by the instructor.

Tardiness:         If you are more than 10 minutes late to any class on exam or quiz day, you will be denied the opportunity to take exam.  Plan for traffic, plan for being stopped by a train, etc.  It is your responsibility to show up to class early, especially on a quiz or check-off date.  If you happen to be late, DO NOT TRY TO OPEN THE DOOR and stroll to your seat.  It is disruptive.  Latecomers will not be permitted into the room once the door is closed. In fact, more than likely the door will be locked.

Attendance  “Regular and punctual attendance at all classes is required” Gordon College Academic Catalog.  It is the student’s responsibility for the information discussed in class.

Webpage It is the responsibility of the student to check the course webpage FREQUENTLY.  All important announcements, exam dates, etc. will be posted on this webpage.  There will be no excuses tolerated for not knowing announcements regarding exams or knowing how to get on the web page, etc.

Other Policies:  No cell phones, headphones, text messaging, sleeping, or tardiness is allowed in this class at any time.  There are no exceptions.  Students will be warned on the first offense and dismissed from class (that day) on the second offense.  If a third offense happens to occur, the STUDENT WILL BE WITHDRAWN FAILING (WF) THE COURSE.
