Call for Proposals

Sep 22, 2008 - 9:30:26 AM

Gordon College will host the the seventh annual interdisciplinary conference for teachers of undergraduates March 27-28, 2009

This year's conference focuses on the most important of concerns for teachers within their chosen field: how to engage the student on various levels of understanding.

Guidelines:
Presentations may address ways in which teachers inspire students by use of traditional approaches, through lectures, discussions, and provocative assignments.  Or they might also cover the technology available for capturing attention and maintaining student motivation. Presenters might also discuss theories or practical methods for thoroughly engaging students with the subject at hand.

Papers should be of a length that allows them to be presented in 20 minutes.  One hour time periods, if needed, will be given to panels, workshops, demonstrations, and discussion groups.

Send one paragraph summary of presentations by Feb. 14 to:
Dr. Jason Horn

Due to travel requests, proposals will be accepted or rejected within two weeks of receiving submissions.
