Call for Proposals The Sixth Annual Interdisciplinary Conference for Teachers of Undergraduates
Teaching Matters: But What Matters Most?
March 28-29
Gordon College
Barnesville, Ga.
We certainly believe that teaching matters, but what matters most when it comes to our particular discipline or to guiding students, in general, toward a grasp of essential knowledge and useful information. This year's conference focuses on the most important areas of concern for teachers within their chosen field.
Guidelines
Presentations may address ways in which teachers introduce students to "what matters most" in a given subject by discussing traditional means of focusing on the subject matter. They might also cover the technology available for delivering the most important of material. Or presenters might discuss theories or on-going methods for keeping students focused on what matters most.
Papers should be of a length that allows them to be presented in 20 minutes. One hour time periods, if needed, will be given to panels, workshops, demonstrations, and discussion groups.
Send one page summary of papers or presentations by January 31, 2008:
