Wrestling returns to Gordon College under the direction of second year Head Coach Jeramey Jones. An information meeting will be held Wednesday, September 1, at 2 p.m. in the Academic Building - Classroom #110. If you have any questions about the program and what it takes to wrestle for the Highlanders, this is the meeting for you.
Outstanding Season Comes To An End

Gordon College wrestler Justen Brown was eliminated from the NCWA national tournament this morning. After a hard fought match, Brown was upended by Kansas State’s Ahsha Abu-Ali 7 - 5. He finished post-season competition with a 5 – 4 record and also had an outstanding regular season for the Highlanders. Congratulations to Head Coach Jeramey Jones and freshman Justen Brown for a great year at GC!
Brown Survives First Day

Gordon College wrestler Justen Brown survived his first day of competition at the NCWA national championship tournament at Hampton, Virginia. After a disappointing first round loss, the freshman standout came back to pin Lee Worley from the University of Vermont in the second session. With the victory, Brown will now face Ahsha Abu-Ali from Kansas State University in Friday morning's third round. Eight wrestlers have now been eliminated from the 165 pound weight class following tonight's action. Tomorrow (March 12) may be the most difficult and exhausting day for all the wrestlers. They must get through three rounds on Friday to advance to the championship on Saturday.
Gordon Wrestler Earns Trip To Nationals

Freshman Justen Brown finished fourth at the Southeast Conference wrestling tournament in Tallahassee and has now qualified for the National Collegiate Wrestling Association Championship in Hampton, Virginia. The national tournament will begin tomorrow (March 11) with competition continuing through Saturday night at the Hampton University Convocation Center Arena.

Wrestling returns to Gordon College for 2009-2010 and new Head Coach Jeramey Jones will lay out the goals/expectations for those athletes interested in the program. The informational meeting is set for Wednesday, September 23, in the Academic Building - Classroom # 110 at 2 p.m. Any questions prior to the meeting can be directed to Highlander Athletic Director Todd Davis.
