Women's Soccer To Hold Open Tryouts

The Gordon College women's soccer program will hold open tryouts Saturday, April 21, at the Athletic Complex on the Barnesville campus. Tryouts will begin promptly at 10:30 a.m. but we ask all participants to arrive early so necessary forms can be completed before the event. The tryout is open to all females who are currently attending Gordon College or are interested in attending GC for the 2012-2013 academic year. The program is looking for dedicated and experienced players who are ready to commit to being a college student-athlete. Women's Soccer Inks Upson-Lee Standout

Upson-Lee High School standout Jeri Joiner has signed a Letter of Intent to play soccer at Gordon College. Joiner was an outside midfielder for the Knights and started every game since her sophomore year. She scored 7 goals and had 19 assists while helping lead her team to a 2010 Sweet Sixteen State playoff finish. In addition, Joiner received the 2010 Coach's Award and the 2011 Lady Knight Athletic Award from ULHS.

Due to inclement weather, the Women's Soccer tryouts scheduled for Tuesday, November 29, have been postponed. They have been rescheduled for Tuesday, December 6, at 6 p.m.

Lady Highlanders Lose Final Game

The Lady Highlanders faced region leader Darton College in their final game of the season and the Cavaliers came out on top 9 - 0.
Lady Highlanders Lose to Middle Georgia Warriors

Gordon College was defeated by conference opponent Middle Georgia College 6 - 1 in a late Monday afternoon match in Cochran. GC's lone goal came from freshman Faith Shafer as she recorded her second score of the season. The Lady Highlanders will now close out the year on Friday as they host Darton College at 5 p.m. in Barnesville.
