IMPORTING AND EXPORTING FAVORITES

You can share lists of your Favorites between computers by using the Import and Export feature in Internet Explorer. This is helpful in situations like:

  • saving your Favorites to your 'H:' drive for future importing to another computer or to your own computer after it has been reimaged (erased)
  • sending yourself a folder of Favorites that you have gathered from home to school

To Export a list of your Favorites

  1. Start Internet Explorer.
  2. Using the computer that your Favorites are on, go to File > Import and Export

Internet Explorer File Menu with Import and Export highlighed
  3. When the Import/Export Wizard comes up, choose Export Favorites and choose which folder of Favorites you wish to Export. By selecting the "Favorites" file, the entire list will be exported. If you only want a certain folder to be exported, select just that folder.
