RESIDENCE LIFE STAFF

Resident Director

The Resident Director (and the Assistant Resident Director, if applicable) is responsible for the daily operation of an assigned residence hall and reports directly to the Director of Residence Life or official designee. In general, the duties are to ensure that the residence hall maintains conditions that are conducive to healthy living and scholastic growth. These duties include the following:

  1. To enforce campus regulations and report violations to the Director of Residence Life or official designee;
  2. To supervise the Resident Assistants and/or all work-study students assigned to his/her respective residence hall; and
  3. To supervise various social, recreational, and educational programs which take place in the residence hall.

Resident Assistants

R.A.'s are on duty from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. daily and weekends. If you need assistance and your R.A. is not in, contact the On-Call R.A. whose name is posted at the R.A. station in the building lobby, or the Resident Director.

Residence Hall Monitors

Gordon College students may apply to become Residence Hall Monitors. Monitors are considered work-study positions and are coordinated through the Financial Aid Office. Residence Hall Monitors oversee visitation check-in, enforce rules and regulations, and report emergencies.
