GORDON BAND & INSTRUMENTAL ENSEMBLES
In the spring semester of 2003, several Gordon music majors organized a concert band and asked Mr. Peter F. Randall to conduct the ensemble. The Band was officially a student club for the spring semester. The Gordon Band performed for the first time as guests at the 2003 Spring Choral Concert.
The Gordon College Music Program is constantly expanding and developing new ensembles. In previous years, instrumental ensembles have been formed to perform popular literature as well as jazz. The Jazz Ensemble performed a special outdoor concert on December 5, 2001. The Jazz Ensemble was directed by guitar instructor Mr. Danny Smith.
As instrumental music continues to grow at Gordon, the music program will provide additional performance opportunities for our instrumentalists.
