Academic Renewal Board of Regents
Policy 305.01
The Academic Renewal Policy allows University System of Georgia degree-seeking students who have experienced academic difficulty at an institution to have one opportunity to make a fresh start at the same institution after an absence of five calendar years.
Students returning to Gordon College after an absence of five years or longer are allowed one year to request Academic Renewal status. For further information, contact the Registrar's Office (678. 359. 5022).
Hours forgiven under the Academic Renewal policy are included in determining a student’s financial aid eligibility, including the HOPE scholarship program.
