Frequently Asked Questions FOR STUDENTS
- Q: Where do I find the job openings?
- A: Job openings are posted on-line for both on-campus and off-campus positions.
- Q: How do I apply?
- A: Read the job announcement to verify you meet the minimum requirements, and then follow the directions in the job announcement for how to apply. Most positions will require the student to fill out the online job application. Once the application is submitted, the Financial Aid office will verify that the student is eligible. The Counseling Center will route all eligible applications to the appropriate departments for consideration.
- Q: Will I get a job?
- A: There are always many more applicants than positions to fill. Filling out an application does not guarantee a job. Make sure you fill out the application carefully and completely. Departments will contact the students they wish to interview.
- Q: How many hours can I work?
- A: The number of hours a student can work is determined by Financial Aid and the department. The maximum hours any student worker can work is 19.
- Q: How much do student worker positions pay?
- A: Currently, student workers are paid $6.75/hour.
